By popular demand, we’ve developed a very special retreat to enable people to combat stress, fatigue, meaninglessness, connection and ill-health. From a combination of international practices we’ve created an experience of deep relaxation, self-clarity and optimal health, for people who are interested in upgrading their quality of life to the next level.

Our aim is for you to experience true centredness and peace, whilst developing the tools needed to handle the day-to-day stressors of life and work on return home. You will rest, unwind and connect with nature, while you develop your personal stress-preventing techniques, and develop your personalised meditation, nutrition and exercise practice to maintain your optimal energy levels and well-being wherever you are in the world.

This is not a normal retreat.

This is designed to be a life experience created to provide an opportunity for you to devote ten days to deepen your practice of mindfulness and to bring renewal and rejuvenation to your personal and professional life. You will spend your time in connection with nature, changing your environment from the daily routine, reducing stress, developing strong human connections and communication, exploring self-expression through activities such as dancing, art and being in silence.

It can be challenging to take a step back from being constantly busy but rest is integral for productivity. Part of our method is to give you 2 days of silence and solitude in nature combined with a sacred tamascal (sweat lodge) ceremony by a local Brazilian shaman to fully immerse our participants into ancient practices from South America.

Through the combination of all these different activities and practices, we hold the space for you to check in with yourself, rediscover your sense of inner clarity and cultivate overall balance. We live on a mountain by the ocean in a community, offering a place that is grounded in simplicity. By coming here you have the opportunity to create deep connections, take yourself off for a quiet moment in the mountains or jump in the ocean all in the same day!

Cultural Experience

We give you a glimpse into South American indigenous ceremonies and cultures through 2 days of silence and detox surrounded by nature with the support of the team, closing with a temazcal ceremony.

Mindfulness and Meditation

You will be lead through a series of mindfulness and meditation techniques and practices to learn how to cultivate a healthy mind, whether you’re at a retreat or back at home

Nutrition and detox

Cleanse your mind and body, and restore your energy levels with our nourishing vegan, vegetarian and pescatarian meals. Learn about the ayurvedic philosophy and how to develop a nutrition routine that compliments your needs and life back home.

Physical activity and exercise

Find your rhythm and pace with various ways of freeing your body and building a enjoyable relationship with exercise and being active that suits you. We’ll help you find your ideal movement regime, whether it’s a relaxing yoga session, a sweaty tabata circuit or natural movement.

Stress-relief and mental health

We have trained psychologists to provide workshops and classes to get you comfortable with handling stress and creating scientifically validated preventative strategies for you to take home and use in your daily life. Return home feeling renewed and ready to take on life’s challenges whilst staying calm and centred.

Connection to nature and wholesome living

Surrounded by subtropical forests, rivers, ocean, mountains, lake and sea makes for the idealistic setting to submerge into tranquility and escape your usual scenes. We love to give the gift of simple living by reconnecting to nature and increasing your self-care.

7 Nights Accommodation

To maximise your experience we recommend you come for one night before and one night after the retreat, which is a gift to you as part of the price. Standard accommodation will be in a shared room with other participants. Private rooms available upon request.

How do I get there?

Bus

Rosemary Dream is based in Barra Da Lagoa. The cheapest way is to arrive is by bus. From the central bus station (Terminal Centro), it will take you 1-2 hours depending on the day. When you arrive at Centro, you need to exit and head right to the local bus station (Terminal Urbano). Here you will need to get either the 320 or the 330 to TILAG (Terminal de Integração da Lagoa da Conceição) and then the 360 to Barra Da Lagoa. At the final stop you will see a big blue bridge which you need to cross and then follow the path right for 100 metres until you’re at Rosemary Dream.

Uber

It is around 50 Reis to get an uber from the Terminal Centro to Barra da Lagoa so if you don’t mind spending that little bit extra, jump in!

Flight

If you took a flight to Florianopolis, you can either get a ticket for a minibus to a nearby bus station and get a bus from there to Terminal Centro, Floripa inside the airport before you exit, or alternatively you can take a taxi there too.

How much free time will I have?

The program begins in the afternoon so during the morning you will have time to arrive or settle in and explore. It ends on the morning on the final day, giving you time to decompress and spend time with our community! You’re more than welcome to book extra night’s stay either side (2 extra nights stay are included in the program price). Simply let us know when booking. 

What’s included?

For the whole 8 days,  you will be provided with food, accommodation, activities. We will be on hand to support and help 24/7 throughout your experience.

What will I be eating?

Our experienced kitchen team will be providing you with the most scrumptious and nutritious food. 90% of our food is vegan, due to not being able to responsibly source meat and dairy, and the rest of the time we eat pescatarian.

Can I bring my dog/kids?

Because your month will be all immersive, we don’t allow people to bring their dogs or children since there won’t be time for you to care for them.

Where will I sleep?

For the majority of the time you will be in high standard shared accommodation so that you bond with your fellow participants, you’re welcome to book a private room (for extra cost) please let us know when you’re booking so we can arrange this.

What’s nearby?

Rosemary Dream is situated in Barra Da Lagoa, a small fishing village. Here you will be able to buy all your necessities and essentials. If you need to get money out or buy something special.

How much money should I bring?

Everything is covered over the 8 days, 7 nights, so it is primarily up to you, but $50 will be more than enough to cover you for extra food and snacks whilst you’re here. If you’d like to take part in extra activities before or after the program, such as diving, canoe or surfing these can be arranged – simply let us know if you’re interested when booking. 

What should I bring?

Full packing list will be shared during your registration call. 

Do I need to be physically fit to participate?

An average level of fitness is fine! You’ll be taking part in light physical activities such as yoga and hiking only.

When do I need to arrive?

We recommend that you arrive at least in the morning of the 1st day, so that you have time to settle in before the program begins in the evening. 

Can I stay after?

Please do! Normally, our program participants want to stay at least another day or two after to consolidate and reflect on their experience whilst still under the wing of Rosemary. You can stay for as long as you like after the program at a special discounted rate for participants.

Do I need a visa?

This will depend on what passport you hold. Please check what the rules are for you here: http://www.rio.com/visa-information-brazil

Will I need vaccines?

Yes. Please see your personal doctor for information on which ones you need before you come. It is not a requirement for you to have the Yellow Fever or Rabies vaccine to enter Brazil.
