Interviewing Our Dream Team
Jun is from São Paulo and has been at Rosemary for 8 months. He first came as a guest, invited by his best friend. He then visited with his dad and ended up staying on and hasn’t left yet! Jun really enjoys the way of life here and is responsible for managing the weekly schedule which is always full of interesting workshops and community activities.
What one thing do you do every day or most days for your own wellbeing?
Normally I wake up early to have breakfast and start my morning early. I do a lot of walking around and hard work here on the job so I don’t really need to work out much.
And for the wellbeing of others or your community?
I like to decorate and make sure the house is beautiful.
When you were younger what did you imagine that you would do when you grew up?
I thought I was gonna be an illustrator, that’s why I followed design in my career.
What inspires you to live your optimal way of life?
Exchanging knowledge, values and cultures with people. I like the simple life at the moment.
What makes you feel connected to nature?
Rosemary brought me closer to nature, we live in a place which is surrounded by greenery and the ocean. It motivates me to get on a hike every week to appreciate nature.
Which one book has most influenced the way that you live?
One book I really like that made me realise how people can be different is a Portuguese novel called Blindness by José Saramago. It’s about how people deal with losing vision.
Is there one thing that you could never travel without?
My clothes! I wanna have freedom to choose whatever I wanna wear.
What are you grateful for today?
To have freedom.
Tell me something you are proud of:
Everywhere I go people have a good feeling and good memories, that makes me proud.
Sum up your experience of Rosemary in three words:
Changed my life.
